P90X Round 1 COMPLETE!

Checkout the Before and After page for stats and pics.

I did not do the YogaX that I was scheduled for yesterday and postponed until today. Instead of YogaX I played with the kids in the backyard and did some cartwheels, handstands, pike pull-ups on the rings, and crane. Then I did the P90X fit test to check my progress. The fit test takes about 40 minutes including the warm up (10 min on the treadmill) so I figure I still got a good workout in.

Thoughts about the next 90 days:

My ITBS is pretty much back to normal. I have no injuries right now. It's time to REALLY bring it with a new level of intensity this next 90 days.

Summer will be a challenge but I'm up for it. It stays light later and it will be harder to go to bed and get up early to workout. I can do it!

I'm hoping to get more cardio in during the next 90 days. Maybe in the form of lawn mowing, running, water sports, Solo Training (heavy bag, kick boxing, Karate), or P90X cardio workouts as a second workout of the day. It will help the fat loss.

My hamstrings are TIGHT! I need to finish the P90X workouts with some of my own hamstring stretches.

Diet, diet, diet! Enough said. (BTW, that's diet as in "watch the food that I eat", not diet as in "restrict what I eat")   ;o)

That's it until tomorrow! If you've been following along (Mom and Sis) THANKS! And thanks for all your support Mom, Dad and Sis. It helps A LOT!

OK, I'm off to print up all my log sheets for the next 90 days.

C YA!

It's Here! It's Here! Day 90 is HERE!

Well, I am happy that I made it through the full 90 days of workouts. And the only injury that I still have is the ITBS which is MUCH, MUCH better. I'd say that my IT Band is back to 85%.

But I don't want it to be over yet. So instead of this being the end, it's more of a milestone. P90X Round 1 is over. Done. Now for Round 2!

So, since I am not stopping, I chose to rest today and do YogaX tomorrow on the rest day.

I did take my body fat measurements today. I'll probably take the 90 Day pics tomorrow though.

Tomorrow I will also take the fit test to see how I have changed my fitness. I'll also do the body measurements (chest, arms, etc.) then too.

My Body Fat stats are now up on the Before and After page. I lost 1% body fat between day 60 and day 90. It's not a lot but I guess it's still going in the right direction! Overall, from start to now, I have lost 10 pounds, gained 5 lbs of lean muscle, and lost 7.2% body fat. I have also gained a huge amount of flexibility, cardio, and of course, CONFIDENCE!

Well... Till Next Time!  BRING IT!!!

Did Core Synergistics today and felt FANTASTIC! My back is at 100% now.

The only thing to note of late is the fact that I have been absolutely famished for the past week or so. Just starving. I'm not too sure why. This has been a light week for P90X. No weights. So it can't be that I'm working too hard. But this starving has caused me to make some bad diet choices and my diet has suffered a bit over the past week. Back on track next week for P90X round 2! And blogging days 90 to 180.

Till next time... Bring It!

I was scheduled for StretchX (or X Stretch, I can't remember what it's called) this AM. But instead of stretching I ran on the treadmill for 45 minutes. I had a TV show that I wanted to watch and stretching seemed to be too light of a workout today. So I ran and then did some of my own stretching for a bit afterward.

Just two more workouts left in this 90 day round. Core Syn tomorrow and then YogaX on Sat. Then it's picture and measurement time on Sunday. I think that I'll take the fit test again and see how I have changed. The fit test was designed to determine if you are ready for P90X but is also a great way to determine change.

Expect pictures and facts on the Before and After page soon.

Till next time... Bring It!

KenpoX today felt great!

My back is feeling much better and probably at 95%.

Till next time... Bring It!

Core Synergistics today. My lower back is still hurting on the right side. Not nearly as bad as yesterday though. I'm hoping that it's back to normal by tomorrow cause I'm getting tired of modifying P90X workouts. It's only been two days of modification but that seems like an eternity! The is the LAST WEEK of Phase III and I REALLY wanted to Bring It extra hard this week. It's not working out too well.

I was able to do most of the Core Syn workout today but had to modify the Superman, banana, and a few other moves. All in all it felt like a pretty good workout but I still felt like I could only give it 90%.

Till next time... Bring It!

Sheesh, what a rough start this morning. I found it VERY hard to get out of bed at 5AM today. Probably because I stayed up too late last night. When I did get up I had that feeling like I was coming down with something. And the icing on the cake was a terrible back pain. I'm pretty sure that the back pain (which actually started yesterday) was caused by having my laptop backpack slung over my shoulder all day on Saturday while at a conference. My laptop is heavy and that is the only thing that I can think of that would cause this. It hurt so bad this AM that when I would sniff real hard to clear my nose (allergies) my knees would just about buckle due to the pain in the lower right of my back.

But... I DID get out of bed, and I DID do my YogaX workout. I had to modify YogaX a bit because of my back pain, and because of this I didn't get a very strenuous workout, but I felt better mentally afterward. I could not do Upward Dog AT ALL so I modified that and a few other moves.

The good news is now that it is mid-morning I feel MUCH better than I did this AM. I don't feel like I'm coming down with anything now. And thanks to Advil my back feels much better too.

Five days to go!!

Till next time... Bring It!
